AYNORAY: Goldroom Music Video

A couple of days ago, I had the pleasure of shooting a music video for Goldroom's single 'Embrace'. Call time was 6:15 AM and we quickly left for the desert, near Joshua Tree. I'd shot in Joshua Tree several times, however I'd never been to this specific location! At the casting a week prior with Carlos Nunez, he'd asked me if I could move and do little movements with a choreographer. I consider myself a model that moves a LOT, In fact it's what I prefer. So naturally, I said of course! (but warned that I was no dancer). I arrived on set, and saw how big of a production it was. My heart started beating faster and faster, and quickly I realized as I was positioned on "Scene 1" that I'd be doing much more than 'little movements'. Little did I know, that I would be doing full on dance moves and choreographed scenes! I just said to myself " Alex, you gotta give it all you got. You can do this, otherwise you wouldn't have been booked for the job. Of course you can do it. " Sure enough, I had a blast. Somehow I was able to memorize all of the steps and moves. By the time I got home, my whole entire body was aching but it didn't matter. I tried something new and challenged myself harder than I have in a long time (and I push myself on every job that I do!). I love being on set, and I love my job.

This guy in black was my choreographer. He was an angel, without him I don't know what I would've done! So loving and patient. He made it easy to follow.
